Hi Evelyn! We have a number of slideshows and articles with pictures of short hairstyles on our site. Simply look at the list in the upper left corner for the category "Senior Fashion and Hair" - click on it, and you'll see many options.

Also, visit your stylist about 30 minutes ahead of time and look throught the styling books and magazines at the salon. Talk with your stylist about some of the looks you favor, and see how it goes from there.

As far as cutting it the same way twice - a lot of that depends on communication, and whether your stylist keeps a record of the cut.

I am 79 years old. I would like a short haircut that would look good on me. I cannot find a hair dresser who will do it the same way twice. I'd like a picture of short hair do's on older women.

Marilyn, if you look in the left margin of this page, you'll find links to other picture collections on LTK Seniors that may help.

Why are there so few photos of hair styles for mature women anywhere on the web. I expected to find an unlimited assortment. Instead I am directed to the same sites with a handfull of pictures.

Hi Brenda - try our channel, LoveToKnow Hair http://hair.lovetoknow.com/Main_Page - you'll find a slew of pictures there. Also ask your stylist for some of her books to look through - pixie cuts are always in fashion, and she may be able to use a recent version to create the look you want.

Hi, I am looking for a picture of the shaggy pixie cut that I used to wear, to take to my hairdresser. My best cut ever. Can you tell me where I might be able to find it. Thanks, Brenda

Hi MaryEllen, I've been searching, too, and can't seem to find that photo. However, our experts at http://hair.lovetoknow.com/Main_Page LoveToKnow Hair might be able to help. They're much more familiar with picture resources and may know of that image you remember! You'd register easily on that site, just as you did on this one. Thanks for stopping by!

Aboout a year ago or so I found a black and white photo on the internet. The photo was titled "1930's Short Curly Hair Style". Unfortunately after searching for several days I cannot find the photo. I do recall it was rather small. I found it in a totally free hair photo gallery without any registration. My hair is naturally curly and the style worked perfectly. Again, unfortunately, I did not print it out and my stylist does not recall the cut. Can you please advise as to the cut? I am a senior and this stylisat does a beautiful cut with natural curly hair. Thank you for any assistance you may be able to offer. MaryEllen Brown
