Carol, check out a local senior center. Try a new exercise class. Look through some community ed classes and see if there's something you'd like to learn. Join a book club at the library. These and other low-cost, community-based activities will probably have other women who would enjoy having a new friend as much as you will.

iam looking for a women friend to spend time with. going to a movie and out to eat. sometime visting each others home just to socialize awile.being widowed is very hard. for some reason it seems diffcult to meet people. carol susinno
