Mary, so glad to hear that! How do you structure your class - I'm sure other activity directors would appreciate your insight.

I use these exercises for my wellness class and the residents feel that they are easy to do and they are gaining muscles and feeling better in just a few classes. Thanks

Hi Mary -

One solution might be a mini exercise bike. This version slips easily under a desk, or can be used while watching television. It's not a weight-bearing device, but still helps with general cardio exercise and strength-building. The tension can be gradually adjusted for better strength building and is also helpful for arm exercises as well. Prices and models vary on the mechanisms involved, but expect to spend about $70 for a reliable model. Stores like Brookstone carry these, and some larger sporting goods supply stores. You can compare online first with a search for "mini exercise bike".

Best, Tracey

Am interested in a stationary bike for my mother or other leg strengthening devices. She wears a brace for drop foot.
