A communications and marketing specialist, Tracey L. Kelley developed her skills working for corporations, start-up companies, universities, and nonprofit organizations, as well as various forms of media. She has written on a variety of topics, including corporate travel, credit card debt, employee performance improvement, food and wine festivals, globalization, fit lifestyles, and health care. She is the owner and president of a small business, re: communications, and the site editor for LoveToKnow Seniors. Tracey is also an accomplished voice actor and considers her best voice to be that of an animated glazed doughnut.

Tracey is a former field researcher for two University of Michigan studies: the Health and Retirement Study and the Panel Study of Income Dynamics. Both are longitudinal studies observing the health, activities, and financial wellbeing of people over 55.

She is also the site editor for LoveToKnow Yoga, LoveToKnow Save, LoveToKnow Christmas, and contributes to other LoveToKnow sites.

Inspired by Active People

Tracey's 86-year-old grandfather, Jack, is a constant inspiration. He's maintained his good health and vibrancy by caring for those around him, riding his bicycle daily, building cabinetry, and operating a small business specializing in home and furniture repair.

Former neighbors Jean and Carl, also in their mid-80s, send Tracey postcards from exotic locales such as Patagonia, India, and Morocco, as they average three-to-four trips abroad each year. They are continually involved in various charities, their church, sporting events, and managing their rental property.

Tracey lives with her husband and stuffed tiger in the wilds of Iowa. Likes: travel, brainstorming, biking, creative writing, tending to plants, vibrant conversation, music, stained glass art, and cooking. Dislikes: mean people, beets, finding pesky mistakes while editing her own work, and weeds in her mental or physical garden.
